Default Bay Area named Best Place in the US for Staying Young

Yes we iz.

Quote:
1. San Francisco, CA

Healthy habits earn the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose area the top spot as America's youngest city. Bay Area residents rank first for gobbling fruits and veggies, and second for eating whole grains -- no surprise, since the region gave birth to the local-food movement. They're also best in the nation for not smoking and second best for exercise. All those factors help keep residents' blood pressure, cholesterol, and stress levels healthy.

*We may be tops for not smoking cigarettes perhaps, but....er, nevermind.

That's great.

The brawling in the most recent NYC vs. San Francisco thread did remind me that NYC has some pretty good stats re their long-living old geezers too. They're 13 on this list.

That just makes me think urban environments tend to pull and retain educated and progressive people, for the most part, along with the products and services they demand.

What's wrong with that? Especially when 90% of posters in this and the California board are full of negativity.

I'd say its more social in California

People living under mom and dad's wing in their mid to late 20's

People in their 30's living in studios or with roommates, like they did in college

Women in their 40's with botox, fake boobs, highlights, and tramp stamps, trying to compete with their daughters
