Yes, that's why I wrote "although, I do see the appeal of that". Which was mainly a reference to the diversity aspects that are unmatched anywhere else in the region (although I didn't explicitly say that).

Which is why we sometimes raise an when Bay Area/CA bashers decry the place they're leaving as being saturated with PC/lib/commie aspects they so desperately want to escape from...when what they're really alluding to is escaping the diversity being discussed here. Some even have the cajones to come out and say it!
