Hello everyone,

I am in the running for a job in San Ramon, and I wanted to ask anyone here who lives there or is familiar with the city:

-about how much do 1 bedroom apartments go for there?

-i searched the net but couldn't find any info about a city bus system in San Ramon; do they have one (and how is it)?

-is there any particular area(s) that are problem areas or should be avoided when travelling around the city or looking for a place to live?

thanks for your time

There is a bus system in the San Ramon area (forgotten what it's called). It connects from the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station to the major business areas such as the Chevron/Texaco campus and to the Bishop Ranch business park (AT&T and other businesses). I don't know where else this bus system goes in the area. Couldn't find any info on the internet. Over all, San Ramon, along with Danville, Dublin & Pleasanton is a nice middle to upper middle class area. I don't live there but visit the area often. I don't know of any "bad" areas. Go to Transit.511.org - Transit Partners and scroll down to WHEELS.

Transit is useless in San Ramon. Unless you are driving to BART it is pretty nonexistent. San Ramon is served by Wheels and County Connection I believe.

This is an old thread. You should start your own instead of hi-jacking somebody's else's really old thread.
