I guess they are a bit more of a nuisance than originally thought.
I am impressed with your memory of my posts.

Yes occupy is still in its 2 blocks. And us nowhere near my block. That diesnt mean i cant find them annoying. They are still wasting resources and news cycles and accomplishing nothing.

BART still stopped at 12th street this evening. So obviously the impact wasn't widespread.

But you said they were no big deal in the other thread, and that it was business as usual, and you had a relaxing time at the concert...

... but the truth is (like I stated in the other thread) that it's not quite the pretty picture you painted, and the riots in Oakland are often disruptive and annoying, even though you were trying to convince others in that other thread that the "Oakland Occupy Riots" weren't a big deal for people in Oakland. Obviously false, and a distortion.

I say this latest grief you're getting from the Occupy Protesters is karma getting back at you for your disingenuous post. Next time, try not to lie to people looking for advice about Oakland, and try to tell the truth once in a while Ms. "Los Feliz is in West LA".

And, as usual, the 98% majority of people, who either feel impotent in the face of the rape and pillage of society by the wealthiest 1%ers, or who are just too lazy and self-satisfied to get out of their recliners, turn to vilification of the easy targets: the opposite 1%-punks who actually do little to no harm to the system or planet -- they are just temporarily disruptive and irritating briefly here and there.

And the wealthiest 1% see this and snicker: "yeah, what are the wussey proles gonna do? Nothing. Got 'em by the short hairs.". They love to watch us bicker amongst ourselves.

I don't think you get it at all. Occupy is annoying. But if you aren't in downtown, it has no impact on your day at all.

And Occupy is annoying SF too. It is just annoying.

For some reason you seem to think that pointing out positives in Oakland is downplaying reality, and that pointing out annoyances is some how proof that Oakland is a "horrible" place. No place is perfect. And people's perspectives can provide more balanced coverage than the media offers.

You seem to have lots of time to memorize my posts though....
