Either of those okay areas??
Mission & Geneva: This area is the most walkable & convenient. From here you can walk to a Safeway supermarket,a pharmacy, many restaurants & Balboa Park Bart. I like this area but no yuppies or foodies will go here(one of the advantages!). It is a diverse area with Mexican,Central American,Italian, Filipino and other various restaurants.

Walk Score of Mission St and Geneva Ave

Mt Davidson Manor: This is the most normal type area and the farther west on Ocean Ave. one goes the better it gets. It is also the foggiest.

Candlestick Point: I personally would avoid this location like the plague. It combines the worst of city living(next to high crime areas like Hunters Point and Vistacion Valley; heavy traffic on the 101 freeway) with the worst of the suburbs(you have to drive almost everywhere).

I am all about the downtown/night scene right now, but that's with my friends here in Orlando..don't know if I'll be so prone to do so in SF not knowing a single person. But being relatively close to those things would be nice I guess..though I know that comes with the high cost. I don't think I want to live in the 'burbs necessarily..you said you know Orlando, so I wouldn't want to be out in something comparable to Altamonte, Lake Mary, Oviedo, Longwood, etc. I enjoy the outdoors, walking around and biking, so being able to do that would be nice too.

When it comes to price, I can see from the day or so that I've been looking, you can find a decent enough 1/1 anywhere from $1750 - $2500 (and I'm sure much higher)..which really I'd want $2200/$2300 to be tops for me. But then you throw in a 2nd bedroom and it jumps to like $3500+! What the hell?! So do you know of any condo, apartment, or townhome complexes in particular that are nice?
Holla when you're out there, I'll be friend-less as well, we can hit up the clubs, and go mountain biking. (no homo)

I'll be out there May 27th, Corporate housing till i find my pad. Looking at the neighborhoods i mentioned in my post.

Good luck!

Heck ya, you should move to San Francisco. It's a neat place.
