Libs are very funny people. They want to get rid of religion because it doesn't fit into their thinking. They also get angry when other people don't like their ideas. What goes around, comes around!

You mean concepts like logic, reason, rational analysis, scientific method? We don't get angry when others don't understand these ideas - we point and laugh at them.

We're not going to get all bunched up over this particular 10 Commandments plaque thing stuck behind a building hardly anybody will notice. More pressing battles to fight.

the supreme court interprets the 1st amendment as prohibiting "the preference by the U.S. government of one religion over another"
this ruling means these situation are can be handled by including symbols of other faiths in the display like sikhism, buddhism, islam etc
conservatives usually reject this solution
it turns out they are not supporting religon in general but want special preference for THEIR religon.this is what the 1st amendment prohibts.

so how about it ? would adding symbols of allah, buddha and whover be acceptable to everyone?

Looks like this thread has come full circle... the stone tablet is no longer standing after 47 years... even though it was deemed legal.

VICTORY! Oakland Zoo Removed Ten Commandments Monument | American Atheists

Just for reference... the tablet was placed in 1965 which predates the city takeover in 1977 of the property... it was not on "Zoo" property at the time it was placed.

Here is a link to the organization that placed the tablet... it is also the same organization that pushed to have Mother's Day an official day in the United States.
