Question San Mateo rentals

Can anyone plz suggest apt or condo place or smth with good atmosphere for family of 4 with two babies? Preferably downtown, but good area comes 1st of course!!! Names of rental places? Cant guess myself which one is having the best rate. Anyone? plz!

halo? nobody? plz??? What about Hillsdale Square apartments or Christina or Scotchollow Apartments or Ryan Tower/Monterey Apartments... anything about these?

I'm not sure what your budget is, but I almost rented an apartment here: Lake Pines Apartments for Rent in San Mateo, CA - UDR

I haven't seen Scotchollow in person, but it's in a decent neighborhood (near the one above), and I've heard good things about it. Hillsdale Square seems okay, though I'd recommend others before it. You might also look into the following...

Also do some searching on craigslist, which will have the smaller/individual & cheaper units. If you need advice on neighborhoods, let me know... I grew up in San Mateo, so I'm very familiar with the town!
