I need to move to SFO from Texas due to Work

Will be moving with my wife and 2 girls (4 yrs and 2 yrs)

I will be working close to Embarcadero BART station so BART will be choice of travel. 40-50 mins travel should be fine

Though I have a Car want to minimize driving as much as possible

Being from Texas 90+ temp is just fine. Would Prefer warm to clod any day

2Bed Apartment under 1700 per month is my budget. Proximity to elementary school , BART Station, Safety / Low crime rate will be key things to consider

Closer to indian community will be good but not a must.

Any pointers is greatly appreciated.

Bart + good schools + Indian community = Fremont. Alternate choice is the Pleasanton/Dublin area.

See this post for Indian restaurants/stores in Fremont.

I'd check out Dublin or Pleasanton. It's on the other side of the hills so is very sunny and hot in the summer, has good schools, safe, easy BART access, has a fairly sizeable Indian population. Not as high as Fremont, but still somewhat large and growing.

Either Dublin or Fremont is about 45 minutes via BART to SF.

FYI, SFO only refers to the airport. Nobody calls the Bay Area SFO. And, as mentioned previously, Fremont would be a good fit as far as finding an Indian Community. Sunnyvale also has a reasonably large Indian community, but I think the commute options are actually better from Fremont, with BART.
