downtown is like mini Grand Central Station, thats why you see so many transiets / bums in the area

Maybe the Op has never been to a black neighborhood before or grew up in a area with very little black folks

That's the Occupy Wall Street camp. If in Chicago, they could pass for homeless.

The mission appears to be 20-30% black but according to the census its more like 5%. I am from Nashville, tn. Currently blacker than Oakland.
