Default Richmond Bart parking

I was trying to park my car overnight in Richmond Bart (for regular commute), but even the Bart agent advised me against it ..she said you may not find your car next day in the same condition you left it!

Any suggestions on suitable/safe parking within walk able distance of Bart station?

Thank you

I think most people up in that area use El Cerrito Del Norte station instead. You shouldn't have to worry about your car in that lot.

I live about a block from that BART station. I didn't think the new parking structure was open yet.

Yeah don't park in Richmond if you value your things.

Second this suggestion. Richmond BART is in the iron triangle. Not exactly the safest area. I wouldn't advise parking there & definitely not overnight or for a daily commute.

Ok there is a small lot there, the one where the buses go. If you can find a spot there, you might be ok. Lots of cars park there during the day. BART police tend to have more of a presence on that side. The main lot absolutely not as others have said. That structure should be done soon. I forgot about those lots as I don't use them.
