Default SF Walk for Life tops 40,000

A highly diverse crowd of more than 40,000 people crowded into San Francisco's City Plaza today to demonstrate their support for unborn human life and an end to legal abortion. Details and more photos on the official Walk for Life - West Coast blog.

This was much larger than the DC gun control protest today, yet mainstream media coverage was scarce.

They're certainly entitled to their opinions as are the pro-choice majority.

A useful reminder that as much as we might want to take Roe v. Wade for granted, there will always be those who want the government to seize control of women's uteruses. We must always remain vigilant.

Should Roe v. Wade ever come under serious attack, those who think abortion should remain legal will be able to muster 3 times that number overnight. And unlike the "walkers for life," they'll all be from San Francisco.

No, the Folsom Street Fair is ten times larger.

Interesting about the widespread national media coverage of the DC gun control rally on Saturday ... at which the turnout was about 6,000 people. By contrast, Saturday's Walk for Life in SF was largely ignored by the media, and turnout is now estimated at 50,000 people. No media bias there.
