Other touristy things that should be on the list:

Bar hopping in The Castro

Dining at a cafe in North Beach

Drinking absinthe at Vesuvio (Jack Kerouac haunt on Columbus)

Tasting and shopping at the Ferry Building--bonus if on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday with the added outdoor farmers' market

Ride the ferry to Sausalito or Tiburon for brunch

Hippie shopping/dining on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley

Hiking through Muir Woods

Taking in the view from Twin Peaks

Irish coffee at The Buena Vista

Tiki drinks at Tonga Room

Attend the Pride Parade

What else am I missing? How many of these have you done?

How about:

Touring Grace Cathedral

Drinks at the Top of The Mark

Biking up the Marin Headlands

Heading to Point Reyes for oysters on a sunny Saturday at picnic tables, shucked bayside.

A day in Golden Gate Park, touring the DeYoung Museum, Conservatory of Flowers, gardens and attractions.

A walk around the Palace of Fine Arts

Pacific Ocean sunset dinner at Cliff House after checking out Ocean Beach, Sutro Baths and/or Lands End

Sunday morning drag show/brunch at the Starlight Room

Dim Sum and trinket shopping in Chinatown

Ride the F street cars down Market and around the Embarcadero, stopping to shop, sightsee, drink and eat at Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, Telegraph Hill, The Ferry Building, Market Street/Union Square/Theater District, Castro/Duboce Triangle/Hayes Valley/Mission--all for $2.00 if you show your Muni transfer to the driver with enough confidence.

Anything else?
I dunno. I think a lot of these, not all, are more local things than touristy things.

I'm big on dim sum anywhere it's good. I'm a member of Grace. I've done activities in GGP many times and in many ways including Outside Lands and the California Academy of Science's Nightlife events on Thursday. Definitely been to the DeYoung, but haven't in awhile though. The Castro = mad fun on so many levels. But there are so many on this list that I have done that I'm just too lazy to tick through them all.

Catching a Giants game should be at the top of the list.

Bar hopping in The Castro Duh - I live in the Castro.

Dining at a cafe in North Beach Yep

Drinking absinthe at Vesuvio (Jack Kerouac haunt on Columbus) Nope

Tasting and shopping at the Ferry Building--bonus if on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday with the added outdoor farmers' market Yep - I work a block from there

Ride the ferry to Sausalito or Tiburon for brunch Nope -- does riding a bike there and taking the ferry back count?

Hippie shopping/dining on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley Yep

Hiking through Muir Woods Nope - it's always too crowded on weekends

Taking in the view from Twin Peaks Yep

Irish coffee at The Buena Vista Yep

Tiki drinks at Tonga Room Nope, but I've indulged at two other premier tiki bars in the Bay Area

Attend the Pride Parade Nope -- but I've been IN it three times -- each time representing a different group.

What else am I missing? How many of these have you done?
I agree with those who are pointing out that many of those are more 'local' things than tourist things.

Funny, because I think I did all of those things as a tourist, before I moved. I did make the trip out here 7-8 times over 10-15 years, though.

Hm, I'm not really a bar-hopping kind of person. So, no.

Dining at a cafe in North Beach
Yep.

Drinking absinthe at Vesuvio (Jack Kerouac haunt on Columbus)
Huh. Yeah, I should do this, though North Beach is annoyingly busy.

As often as I can. I love the Ferry Building.

Hm. Does Larkspur count? I really do need to visit my friend in Sausalito, though...

Hippie shopping/dining on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley
Nope. Still managing to avoid all hippie shops. But I have at least been to Berkeley!

Hiking through Muir Woods
Not so far. Maybe when I visit my friend in Sausalito.

Taking in the view from Twin Peaks
Yes, briefly.

Irish coffee at The Buena Vista
Does the one in SFO count?

Tiki drinks at Tonga Room
Nope.

Attend the Pride Parade
Erg, too many people.

Hmm. I'd add: Get a burrito in the Mission. Visit the Exploratorium. Eat at to Off the Grid. Maybe visit Treasure Island (haven't done that yet.)
