How big an apt. are you looking for? You could try looking for a duplex or a MIL situation, where there might be a fenced yard, and the owner/landlord might agree if you paid a large pet deposit.

We won't be picky on the size, anything will do. We just need to have a place to
Move to and live at until we can find the house we want

When I relocated to the bay area, the company moving me could only find one place that would take my large dog....I think the name of the complex was Arcadia Apts. It was on Alberta Way. This was many years ago though.

I just addressed a similar issue on another thread. My advice in looking for a place with large dogs is if possible, get a referral letter from your past landlord stating that your dogs are well behaved. I have moved twice in the last 2 years and I have 3 dogs, 2 are Pitbulls. I couldn't find any apartments in Concord that would allow dogs over 25 pounds and most had breed restrictions. I'm pretty sure GSD are on the list.

It took me several weeks of nonstop searching, but I finally found a SFR that allowed my dogs. I had to pay an additional pet deposit of $500. Also, it will help if you have really good credit, as most landlords will equate that with responsible tenants. I think you will have better luck renting a house than an apartment.

Good luck in your search!
