What in gods name is heart pressure? Is a fat man sitting on your chest?

I don't see how you can live in SF on 65k. I'm not really even sure you can live in a nice part of Oakland or Berkeley for 65k. OTOH, I'm married and only willing to make certain compromises, so that severely constraints my housing options.

When I imagine someone saying this with a British accent, it's actually quite funny.

the average one bedroom in san francisco runs about $2700 and $3000 will get you into a nice neighborhood.

We are a couple of two with a dog, and live comfortably in Alameda on 55K. A single professional with no pets can easily live on 65k in a nice part of Oakland or Berkeley.

What are you paying in rent? A nice 2 bed runs 2500-3000 currently in Berkeley (where I am currently looking.)

You have to give up on certain amenities like new, or in-unit laundry.....

2 bedrooms in Piedmont Ave area should be less than $1700.

We pay $1400 for a studio, and when I was searching for an apartment for a single friend I saw many studios in Berkeley for $1300 to $1400. A single person doesn't need a two bed.
