I've had to steer my groups away from the continuation school kids and other thugs a number of times in MH in the daytime. One time a few years ago, a bunch of them started destroying the 68 bus stop around lunchtime for no apparent reason, shattering glass all over the place, with no concern that vulnerable people were sitting right there waiting for the bus, nor worried that the cops were right across the street watching this...and doing nothing!

There has been an uptick in thug types in the area, who appear to be migrating northward from Salinas, Gilroy, and Watsonville. MH isn't a scary place, but with it's growth comes the inevitable lame bottom-dwellers.

With gas over $5 a gallon, why would you set yourself up for a long commute?

You may want to either start your own thread in the San Jose Forum (since this one was started in 2006!) or try the search feature first. Your question is very vague and you can probably find the answer you're looking for by searching the SJ forum.
