I'm guessing you don't care for professional sports in general. Out of the 4 major sports I feel baseball fans are probably the most tame at games.
Not all fanbases are the same either. The Giants just have a fair amount of douchey and thuggish fans. Just look at how they riot when they win the WS.

Well to each their own but MLB is definitely up there with NFL as far as popularity. Maybe you just have a short attention span.
Most Giants fans are fine, douchey but tame. Going back to the Candlestick days there has always been a thug element.
And I highly doubt many of the protesters you see in Oakland give a crap about sports let alone the A's.

Baseball is very fun to watch if you have a mathematical mind. But your posts in this thread are spot on otherwise. I was at the oakland hilton last night. Lots of raiders fans repping dodger blue. Those gang bangers from down in la have a real knack for bring the ugly out of people when they come into the bay. Brain stowe was minding his own business, but this kid was engaging in drunk banter, which always leads to fights. You have to be a little fan boy to want to fight someone over a team which probably does not care to know you.
