I don't mind if people smoke weed in their own apartment/house but it pisses me off when those potheads try to smoke weed in a public place. Is there any way I can avoid this in SF or San Mateo? Appreciate the help.

Where did you get the idea that it would be a problem in SF and San Mateo? I can only think of a couple of neighborhoods in SF where that might be a problem.

The problem is, pot is legal in SF, if by default. You see, it has been "de-prioritized" by SFPD, meaning they *officially* won't hassle anyone for less than an ounce. The cops are told to look the other way. So, if you want to live here, you accept this as part of it.
