Hi

I've just move to California.
I know here the salary is payed every 2 weeks.

If I have received after my first 2 weeks for examples 1.350 dollars, does it mean I will receive the same amount: 1.350 after the next 2 weeks?

Or will I receive more/less?

Thanks

It depends on how you are paid. Salary? Salary + bonus? Hourly? Commission? Salary + commission? etc

Look on the check stub, if it shows a full two-week period, it is probably what you can expect every check. It could change though, after the first of the year due to increases in the cost of medical/dental contribution, income tax rates, or retirement contribution.

Sorry. If this helps I live a few hours from you. You live in one of the most expensive areas in California, definately within the top 5

God help you if this is not the salary you receive every two weeks because you will not survive just meeting basic needs in your area with that type of a paycheck. Even if you shack up with many housemates. Although I believe there is a tiny house movement...anyhow my my Brother and Sister in law live there. He's in Technology and Sales..so has a different job it seems every 2-4 years with no employment in between. He's very personable, he's 55 and very good looking. Usually hired to manage the younger ones, and run something...you mentioned targets and receiving bonuses, sounds like my Brother in law talking

With that, my guess is that is your pay twice a month.

Some companies pay on the 1st and 15th. Others every 2 weeks. If you get paid each 2 weeks divide your annual salary by 26 to get the amount per check. If you are paid 2x a month then do divide by 24.

Not true. Many have been doing this for years, and getting along just fine doing so, enjoying much more than merely meeting basic needs.
