My friends, a couple, just bought their third house in San Jose last week. Both of them work in Santa Clara county social service. They told us that almost all of their co-workers make 6 figure income yearly (published on San Jose Mercury News) even though they are in the lowest employee title rank. How? they make money by working overtime. They work "very hard" to find as many people as possible to be able to receive medicare, medical assistance. They know that many of those people are illegal and even with faked documents because no replies after they sent out verification letters. They, then, keep making phone calls to find those people and ask them to continue applying financial assistance from the county! The reason they do this way is because their fund depends on the number of people who get the aid from the county. To keep their job, they must find more and more people, legal or not, to get financial aid from the county. Sounds crazy? It is what happens! Now you know why our school has no money and has to cut its musical program! If this couldn't be changed, does CA has any hope?
