Of course it does. It shows that any company that wishes to employ middle class factory workers without the UAW involved faces the threat of a costly court battle.

Also VW never said "they wanted the UAW", that's completely dishonest. VW said it would pursue worker representation, but never specifically pointed out the UAW. The simple fact that the workers themselves rejected the UAW bid to represent them at the VW plant shows that they know what a destructive liberal union like the UAW could do to their cordial relationship with Berlin.

Also, this is a question of lower standards. The areas of Los Angeles often likened to the East Bay really don't compare to the Oakland area at all.

The city of Oakland is the poorest city in it's immediate area but it's still richer than the areas that border and make up the South LA Area.

This area...
City, State Median HH Income, 2012
Gardena, CA 50,148
Los Angeles, CA $49,745<--this is the entire city. South LA is much lower.
Hawthorne, CA $44,906
Inglewood, CA $44,558
Lynwood, CA $42,723
Compton, CA $42,335
South Gate, CA 41,851
Cudahy, CA $39,263
Bell Gardens, CA $38,272
East Los Angeles, CA $36,755
Bell, CA $36,654
Huntington Park, CA $36,620
Maywood, CA $36,540

is NOT in the same socio-economic tier as this area:

City, State Median HH Income, 2012
Alameda, CA $77,249
Albany $73,728
Emeryville, CA $66,136
Berkeley, CA $63,505
San Leandro, CA $62,195
Oakland, CA $51,683

Detroit at $26,955 is much closer to the South LA Area. The East Bay is clearly affluent compared to both Detroit and South LA.

Now 18Montclair, if you're going to include data from LA, you might as well include it from Detroit and the horrible cities that surround it. They're basically twin cities, at least according to ExeterMedia.

Corvette's have been made in Bowling green Kentucky forever, so that shoots your attempt at correlation all to hell.

No it doesn't. Corvette production was chased out of Michigan in the 50s!

Yup. Oakland is in the same median hh income tier as Boston, New York and slightly higher than Los Angeles.

Please explain how it was chased out? Otherwise, your argument is a moot point.
