Are really the only 3 downtown/ urban districts in the country that have truly world class shopping.

We are blessed to not have just boring malls/ lifestyle centers and botox-ridden quasi-suburban areas as the only game in town as far as shopping. Thank You Jeezus.

Chicago is nothing like NYC in terms of shopping experience and they really strive to not be like New York. Chicago does not like New York. Though I would say it is certainly more of a pleasant experience than SF for sure. Much cleaner, fewer homeless, and better public transit.

LA and NYC are simply just another level though when it comes to shopping. Ditto for any other fashion capital like London, Paris, Milan. None of the cities feel the same. But they are all a couple cuts above SF bay when it comes to shopping/fashion. Urban vibe is purely superficial, and really irrelevant. But I guess that is the only leg you have to stand on, since SF is obviously not a fashion capital.

Hahaha nothing in this thirsty diatribe changes anything I said.

As a point of FACT, New York, San Francisco and Chicago are the top downtown shopping districts in the country and its not close and its not really up for discussion.

SF is defintely the top downtown shopping destination on the West Coast.

And that is just fabulous.

lol

Yea but most models, plutocrats, and celebs don't come to SF (or Chicago for that matter) to shop. And if they do, it's the main story in the news, lol.

They go LA and NYC. The end.

LOL truedat. SF acts desperate when celebrities/ball players come to town or are seen in public. And they all pretty much make local news. I've seen huge desperate crowds form in front of hotels. Kind of sad actually.

Hahaha and yet the largest Bloomingdale's outside of NYC is in Downtown SF. LOL at the thirst.

Im actually in Los Angeles right now. I went to DT LA today in fact and was unable to locate the Chanel boutique or Louis Vuitton boutique that surely must be located in the urban heart of the 2nd largest megacity in the US.

Sadly I couldnt find them. # tears

Italian Luxury Brand, FENDI, has announced the opening of a San Francisco Flagship. The location and opening date are unknown, but presumed to be SF Union Square area.

Excellent!

We need to keep an eye on SFO too. The airport is accepting proposals for new retailers in the international terminal and apparently the airport wants to create some sort of 'mall' in the new terminal 1.

Anyhow, great work Jasonsim.
