Btw, I'm assuming you know the difference between a chuckle and a nervous laugh. Because with you, I never know what to expect.

so you wouldn't expect him to be the OP?

You know, that crossed my mind. But I always give people the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Regardless, it's still an exchange with another poster; whether it's the same or different person doesn't matter to me in the overall scope.

I think LA and SF both have their allure for different reason, but both are superior to SD or OC IMO.

As an outside observer, that was one of the most lopsided debates I've seen.
You got them already. The insecurity is seeping through their pores right now. You guys got them riled up and you've got them throwing fits. Just sit back, relax, and watch them pull their hair out. It's comedy gold.

In general, I am not seeing how the decisions of a few jetset types are a a major "desirability" factor for either city. It would not rank in the top ten IMO. Each person has their own criteria. For some, LA will be a fit. For others SF will be a fit. For others it will be another city not named LA or SF. Believe it or not, that is becoming the choice for many people that are moving to places like San Diego, Sacramento, Central Coast cities, etc.

Esp. since the entire thread is based on a false premise. Whether a place is "desirable" or not is highly subjective. As I've pointed out more than once, the fact that SF is not "desirable" to rich foreigners is hardly a bad thing. Quite the opposite, IMHO.

This thread is also off-topic here, since it's primarily about LA. But by all means, LA people, keep on patting yourselves on the back for vanquishing the quivering hordes of enraged SF dwellers. All you're doing is confirming every negative stereotype there is about your fair city.
