Okay, Knauss seems a bit more serious. I hadn't seen the potential investors named before, only heard him brush off questions about wanting to buy the team.

But more to the point, if Dubai has nothing to do with Howard Terminal, why are both sites still being pitched? If one is for the A's and the other for the Raiders, start negotiating with Davis and the Emirates now. MLB is playing itself into a corner if they are just trying to muddy the waters and stall everything.

Which actually benifits wolf and his pitch to move to San Jose. The lawsuit against ATE has been fast tracked, the mlb will do whatever it takes to make sure that does not make its way up the court system. Just about everyone agrees the ATE is bad law and should be changes, and it is just the type of thing SCOTUS would take back up if it gets the chance.

This is how Tampa bay got their expansion team.

Yeah, but our Supreme Court are shills for big business, so SJ has little hope if/when it gets that far.

This article is kinda really biased against Oakland, but it looks like the A's said no.

And everyone is blaming everyone else.

Once one side (in this case the city of Oakland) starts to make press releases about what they want the negotiation is pretty much over and now they are trying to save face, Quan is trying everything she can to get re ellected, she didn't care about the A's the last few years but now that the citizens of Oakland will have a chance to kick her out she suddenly cares.

Blah Blah Blah this is more of the same from the A's ownership.

Thank goodness cooler heads prevail in the league. Wolff's shenanigans and ploys are no longer much of a secret.

Expect a statement soon that says the following: We tried and tried(for like a few days) to come to an agreement that met our requiremements(meaning we pay virtually nothing to be here) but were not able to accept the offer by the coliseum authority. Whoa is us, have pity on the sad billionaire ownership group...and so we should be allowed to move to San Jose.

Damn, both the A's and the City of Oakland are dysfunctional. Maybe they do deserve each other?!?!

The team wants to build a stadium on the coliseum site. Or so says Nate Miley.

Oakland A's, Alameda County officials spar over stadium lease - San Jose Mercury News

It's sooo amazing how they are so blinded by their vehement dislike for Oakland that they flat out refuse to even consider something closer to downtown.

Please MLB, force this idiotic duo to sell the team!

And WTF is wrong with the Coliseum Authority? Give them what they want if theyre claiming to want to spend 300-500 million on a stadium on the site. Sheesh.

I swear we are represented by buffoons at all levels.

Pretty much....it's a microcosmic sign of our time. Israel vs Palestine, Russia vs Ukraine, Congress vs President Obama, A's vs Oakland. Personal agenda trumps the greater good, no matter the cost.
