We do well, we work for it.

Gainfully employed, in higher education doesn't mean you make good money. Community college instructors, with phd's, don't even make good money these days.

Academia is where many lib arts majors hide from the economy.

Most techies go to college to get a 4 year degree in computer science, but many don't, they just work their way up from some entry position in corporate IT. Where do you live?

Who cares how much or little money I make? I obviously didn't go into education to get rich; I did it because I enjoy it and I'd like to think I'm making a difference in other people's lives. Even though I don't make a ton of money, I have a great quality of life, and I'm actually pretty happy. I get tons of time off to travel and do the things I enjoying while most folks slave away at their miserable jobs they can't stand. Sorry that all that money you've "worked so hard for" hasn't made you any less of a complainer or whiner.

Nope, you went into education because where else would you go with your degree?

You are right. California has absolutely no need for teachers. What a waste of time. I should have learned to code.

I actually do speak/read/write Spanish. In fact, my Spanish is probably better than the lousy English found in most of your posts.

Yea, but my ability to work with numbers gets me a nice salary. Can't say the same for you, now can we?

Congratulations! You get to work with numbers and make more than teachers. You must be so proud and happy with the way your life turned out.
