Oh great to hear @jsba I'm glad to hear the tech trend is still there. How are your companies doing?

My companies are doing well. There is a huge talent pool here but competition for it is pretty tough especially if you are a smaller company. By and large though they'er doing well.

For nightlife, it's Oakland. For networking, it's SV, SF and the peninsula. It doesn't all come wrapped up in one tidy package. Sure, there's nightlife in SF, but people say Oakland's nightlife is better. There's more jazz, more innovative music happening in Oakland, if you're into music.
Whoever said that must be old.

Well then I guess I'm an old man in a young person's body. I liked Oakland's nightlife better than San Francisco's when I lived in the Bay Area.

Then again, I was exposed more to Oakland's anyway, still odd enough since I lived on...the Peninsula!

$1500/mo. in SF will get you a room in a shared place. If you mean SF. If you mean the greater Bay Area, you could get a studio or a 1-br. for your price range. Rents have shot up to a shocking degree just in the last year. Just last year, a 2-br. could be had in a good neighborhood of Oakland for your price range.

Thanks. i have been looking into the room section of craigslist lately and see that i can find a place for that budget although 1000-1200 would be idea.
in terms of getting a 2br/3br do u think 12-1500 each in SF or is that dead, and Oakland/Penisula is more likely?

Also if u were in my shoes, which would u pick.
So like an ideal recommendation, then a personal/realistic recommendation
