Please see the decades of success both teams have enjoyed in the region for evidence.
That success is long ago, and time gone forever.

No intelligent NFL franchise owner would ever relocate to the Bay Area because the Levi's deal shows exactly why they couldn't ever succeed. The politicians in charge (whom you all keep voting in) are literally parasites.

The only reason to move an NFL team to the Bay Area is to destroy the brand of a franchise and lose money. That is all.

Back on the topic of the Raiders, today the NFL's Finance Committee will discuss the Oakland and SD stadium situations, primarily the Raiders to Vegas situation.

The Vegas deal seems like a "win" for the Raiders on the surface, but the details are still fuzzy. The plan would require Adelson (casino magnate) to put up $500+ million of his own money, but it's not clear what he gets in return? I'm still skeptical of whether the NFL will even approve a move to Vegas. It seems like you'd be trading a large TV market for a small TV market.

Yeah why would any NFL team want to be in one of the largest and wealthiest media markets in the country, make no sense at all....

OK

The politicians in this case actually threw their constituencies under the bus, so I have no idea what you're trying to argue here.

And it couldn't be that the 49ers owners are just terrible owners...no, it's clearly "lefty bay area libs" (or something).

You should stop trying to be an expert on Bay Area topics, you're very misinformed.

Let's get back on topic, though, and discuss the Raiders.

They also threw the 40-whiners franchise under the bus, the fans, and South Bay taxpayers. That's what the guys you vote for do.

Why would any NFL owner want to deal with that? York is an idiot only in that he doesn't see how stupid it is, luckily the Raiders are smartening up and leaving the hell hole called the Bay Area.

"you guys"? I'm pretty sure I did not vote for that. Try again?

I actually don't know what you're trying to argue here - you've lost me.

Yeah why would the Raiders leave the Bay Area and especially the queen jewel of the Bay area in Oakland CA?

That makes no sense.

Why would a team want to leave a place where the best stadium they can provide has multiple OSHA earthquake compliance issues that would cost millions to fix, has a maximum capacity that puts it in the bottom five LOWEST capacity stadiums in the league, and has a baseball diamond on the 50 yard line?

Why would they leave a place where they can be the NFL team with the 3rd lowest game day attendance in the league?

Makes no sense!

What are you even rambling about? This has nothing to do with what I even said. Leave it to you to go on some incoherent tangent.

It's true that Oakland needs a new stadium. The Oakland Coliseum just doesn't cut it compared to the other NFL teams.

This just in, San Diego will be moving to Los Angeles.

They (the league) will make the decision on Oakland in March.

Seeing as how no dirt has been turned over in Vegas for the stadium, I doubt they would move for the 2017 season. There simply is no place to play, unless they play at UNLV stadium (Sam Boyd). But that only has room for 35,000 seats. Doesn't sound like a profitable move to me.
