Hi!! I am looking so move to San Francisco California SOON!! where can myself and my daughter stay?? I will be working at the San Francisco VAMC (Veterans Hospital). Where should I be looking?? not to far from the job and not to pricey. My daughter is 8, so somewhere with good schooling also. Thanks in Advance!!

There must be more than one in a high-density area like SF? What's the location? What's your price range? Can't help you without more info.

You should be looking possibly in Daly City or Pacifica (not sure about the schools), or in the East Bay, like Albany--good school, easy commute to SF, more reasonable rent. (in Bay Area terms, that is.) You could also try Alameda (East Bay, again, on the Bay, good schools, nice nabe).

I hope they're paying you enough for rent, utils, food. Vet Hosp. sounds a little sketchy, salary-wise.

Depends on your budget. 2 bedrooms in SF seem to be about $3K minimum. Perhaps your future employer might have some recommendations. Cheaper means long commute and the VA is closest to Marin County which means Golden Gate Bridge Toll and also expensive rent.
