Default How far out of the city does Bart run?

Will be visiting San Francisco in May by car. How far out of the city does the Bart run? Would like to stay in Motel or Hotel outside the city but near a Bart Station to go into the city. Thanks for any info.

Farther away than you would want to be staying, that's for sure. I would recommend one of those waterfront hotels on the Old Bayshore Highway in Burlingame. Then you can take a shuttle to Millbrae Intermodal Station (or park for free) and go into the city on either BART or Caltrain.
