Why would I care about geographic and demograpghic factors? The point is the crime rate is that high, I don't care why its that high or what excuses you want to make for criminals.
That's what you are suggesting as part of your agenda, because that's not what I said.

But knowing the city in which people live reveals next to noth- ing about their victimization risk or “danger,” especially when compared with known risk factors such as age and lifestyle. Neighborhood also matters. In all cities serious crime is disproportion- ately concentrated in a handful of high- risk neighborhoods. Variation in crime risk is far greater within than between cities.

You should care because geographic and demographic factors are important.your premise is based on crime being uniform throughout the city. That is absurd. The drugs violence and sex worker industry of the tenderloin has no affect on the lives of people who live in sea cliff or lakestreet.these same geographic and demographic are why the crime in deep east Oakland have no affect on the lives of people live in in Claremont Pines.most Oakland residents are unaffected crime as it is highly localized to specific areas of the city
