I don't see how anything I said makes me entitled. Simply stating the cold hard truth that the Bay Area is unaffordable unless you make a ton of money is not the same thing as complaining about it not being "fair".

What do you mean by entitled? A family has an entitled attitude if they don't want to live in a shared household with other people?

I guess the current figures are that 200k is top 6% and 250k is top 4%.

Still in the same ballpark. It's also double the median income for the region (Bay Area). 100k, the median income in Silicon Valley, is in the top 20%.

So yeah, 200 or 250k...that's a high salary, even for where we live.
