The new show Journeyman is based in SF - wonder if that's coming back? There are SO many more, as that list above shows... some movies that come to my mind are Jack, Dr. Dolittle (with Eddie Murphy), Pacific Heights, When a Man Loves a Woman, The Joy Luck Club, Dying Young, Innerspace, and Just Like Heaven. As for TV shows, one of my old favorites was taped here - Party of Five. Also one of my dad's favorites, The Streets of San Francisco. "The Streets of San Francisco" (1972)

Also "Bullitt" with Steve McQueen (1968, I think). Great car chase scenes .
