We agree for once haha. Yeah, it is detrimental to the movement. I personally think the protesting is premature, so far Trump has been showing to be presidential for all people and already is compromising on many issues. However, peaceful protesting at this point doesn't bother me.

Choosing Steve Bannon as Chief White House Strategist is "presidential for all people?" Considering lunatics Giuliani and Bolton for possible Sec of State is "presidential for all people?" I can go on.

Who hasn't proposed anything yet? Trump? He's been proposing things for years and promised throughout his campaign - and in this week since. Many policies and actions that aren't even legal to boot. He's already hired Steve Bannon and Myron Ebell.

Who is "whining"? I'm observing his own words and actions.

Climate change has nothing to do with racism.

Trump hasn't proposed anything that is racist, so there is no need to whine like a little baby at thsi point.

Define "whine". In what way do you find me "whining?" Identifying truths underlying bullcrap is whining?

And I wasn't aware that this thread was limited to racism issues. Doesn't read like it in the header. Nor in the comments of yours I responded to. You wrote:

Where in that line is racism the sole subject? That said, hiring Steve Bannon as Chief Strategist IS certainly being celebrated by extreme racists.

Open racism is too obvious and easy to defeat.

The racism of the 21st century is subtle, hiding in the shadows, not obvious, but you know it when you see it.

Pretty sure none of these appointments are official, as they still have to be approved by the senate. Also, please provide concrete evidence that Steve Bannon is a racist/white supremacist. I've only heard accusations so far. Not that I'm defending him as a choice, I think Trump should be considering less controversial people to surround him in the White House.

That said, this election has brought out the worst in everyone. My Facebook newsfeed is littered with friends posting memes, petitions, calling each other racists and just a bunch of hate all around. Lots of fear mongering and overreacting. Also, plenty of sore loser democrats complaining that the electoral college needs to be abolished. No wonder everyone was so blindsided- the social media echo chamber lives on.

I've never heard of most of the people tapped for these positions for any Administration...

Didn't know anything about Pence except his governorship of Indiana and the budget there is better than most and he has some supporters from all sides.

The key is finding effective individuals without a lot of baggage.

If it makes anyone feel better... one of my colleagues left me speechless this morning.

He never missed an opportunity to criticize Bush 43... as in NEVER.

This morning he said with a straight face he would take Bush 43 back in a heartbeat... just goes to show how fluid everything is and never seldom really means forever.
