Yup. Access to the city is great, also Northern NJ is a major business hub as well.

New Spirit flights from Oakland set airport record

OAK has just added new daily flights to Detroit and Baltimore on Spirit.

To save just a few dollars. They tried to get us to fly to Newark in a cost saving measure at my company. I told them I was uncomfortable there and could get no work done before a meeting. It truly is a third world type of airport terminal and maybe even worse. Our accounting people finally came to their senses and no longer fly any business travelers to Newark. Thank goodness.

Here are some pictures of Newark airport. The hyperbole on this thread is a little much.

Yeah, I fly through there semi-regularly, it's a decent airport, not sure why it would be better or worse than JFK or La Guardia. Definitely a step above PHL in every way!

All the NYC airports are awful, but EWR is probably the least bad of them. Like someone said previously, it depends a lot on which terminal you're using.

SFO is a far better airport. It's best to avoid Oakland altogether (it's improving, but there was really nowhere to go but up). Not to mention the area is not nearly progressive enough for my tastes.

Oakland Airport is the best! Does anyone else get a shine of pride when OAK adds new routes? Its similar to when the A's or Raiders win a big game. That same feeling.
