Why evaluate claims objectively when you can tar an entire industry with a convenient brush?

My wife is in her late 20s, has dealt with all kinds of sexual harassment issues, but nothing even close to this...and most of her work has been in this industry. One disgruntled employee took down Theranos, let's just hope this isn't really true, and that Uber doesn't go down with it. Either way, I'm not using the service until finding out more.

Uber has a particularly toxic culture. Everyone I have met who works there found it a terrible place to work. No surprise about any of this

There are so many incidents of sexism in tech. It makes a lot of sense because to overly stereotype, you have the kids who were awkward as teens (and likely spent a lot of time alone in front of a computer) and make them the most popular kids in the work world. These are the people who had the least social exposure and acumen. And they are in charge. These are things that they were no exposed to and didn't have proper experience navigating.

And the leaders, until you get big enough to plan to go public, have a similar background and childhood experience. At the point you are close to exiting, you get surrounded dead by senior yes men until they can cashout.

The only reason Uber cares now is because the bad PR would hurt their future stock price.

Their stock price? Maybe I am confused Uber has drivers use their own cars. Who would invest money in this company? All it takes is a few deadly accidents(they have had them) and that will be that.

Sounds like investing in Enron.

I'd love to buy their stock, although it's starting to get a bit late. New big name stocks need to show double digit growth in order for reality to avoid the share price.

Uber has racked $8 billion in investor money. They are going to want that back, and obviously think Uber us a sure fire bet.
