I have lived in many urban areas without the homeless problems SF has. SF has too many of them for my taste.

There are plenty of homeless in Walnut Creek, too. They rummage through the garbage at McDonalds.

Homeless are def annoying in SF....probs of any socialist suburb w/near-ideal weather....rest of SF region has this same issue in any of the suburban downtowns like PA....and problems of EastBay bridge&tunnel life incl far worse traffic and need to drive through the high-crime Oakland corridor to enter SF....(conversely, the commute btwn PA/SV and SF on 280 has to be one of easiest/fastest on planet)

Only relevant place in CA w/o a signif homeless issue is BevHills....as it's a more capitalist town...

NYC does a better job "controlling" homelessness, to avoid bothering those rather generous taxpayers who live/work in Midtown/UppESide/CPW (and could just as easily live/work in Greenwich instead), but 99% of people in NYC commute daily via subhuman, unsafe means, i.e., those gruesome subways/cabs....

At least in SF/LA, one can easily commute via safety/convenience/hygiene of own new, climate-controlled car.....and, unlike NYC, most offices in SF/LA have undgd pkg garages and most restaurants have valet pkg, so can easily avoid most homeless and nastiness of subways/cabs....

I don't think this is true if you work in SF. Parking in FiDi is expensive as hell.

Also what's up with your abbreviations? Is it that hard to type out a few extra letters? It would make your posts way more readable if you did so.

You seem very selfish and cruel. What does it hurt you to give a few bucks a day to the down and out? I hope the Lord enlightens you some day. Love Ripley

What is it with you and calling SF a suburb? It's not a suburb.

Well said. Thank you. I've seen everything you mentioned done right out in the open.

They can also be a health hazard. I was visiting SF and waiting for a bus, and along came two inebriated street men, one whose head was so full of lice that I and the other two people waiting got up and left in a flash. Since then I find myself trying to stand a few feet away from them.
