Now that SF is 104 they will really have something to complain about! It is 107 in Oakland. I think we all can agree that the 'depressing' weather for the OP is missed right now. Hope nobody dies...

I'm good at translating between the two, you should be too. It reached 106 yesterday, all time record high.

I feel bad for those here right now who do not have A/C, which is probably the majority.

I can't even imagine how miserable night must be with no a/c. I remember lying awake into the morning during days that got into the mid 80s, I can't imagine 100s during the day and 80s at night with no a/c.

Average annual sunshine:

World ~2600 hours

San Francisco 3016 hours
But those numbers are from the sunniest part of town. The cloudier parts of SF are comparable to New York City sunshine levels. Not horrible, but nothing to brag about.

Actually, the lows have been in the 70s. Still warm though.

True, but even the sunniest parts of SF are still far less sunny than most of the Bay Area, so they're not impressive to begin with by California standards.

Yes, it's absolutely miserable. Got very little sleep due to the stifling heat, trying to stay hydrated and cooling off with damp cloths. Looking forward to a cool down tomorrow.

Absolutely, yes! (and I was born & raised in L.A.)

It does get warmer from time to time (like right now)... I hope the fog will return soon.
