Middle Income Housing Program
The Middle Income Rental Program allows real estate developers a density bonus under Planning Code Section 124(f) if they provide units that are restricted at no more than 150% of State Median Income. MOHCD and the Planning Department monitor these units under the Inclusionary Procedures Manual.Click here for more information.
The BMR rental site is a little different, doesn't really easily list all unit like the for sale site does. You either have to enter in household size and income then it provides listings that match it or click on individual buildings and see what they are.

This building shows a one person household can earn up to $113K/year and 2-person household can be able to earn up to $129K a year to rent a BMR unit:

Got it. Nice. That's much better. Thank you for providing that example.

Sav's data is correct - BMR rentals are a bit trickier to find than the home ownership site, but there are examples that bring income ranges well above 100% AMI.

Also - a philosophical point: I'd call incomes in the low hundreds, even in the Bay Area, above "working class"...but maybe my definition of "working class" is different than yours.

That's not unheard of in SF
