His approval rating at the end was actually very bad for funny reason IMO. The economy is basically too good that it has priced out a lot of people. Most people would want their local economy to be strong, but the issue has now become it's too strong that the service jobs etc can't allow people to afford a normal lifestyle in the city. The American Chinese community was proud of him though, but of course, he was the first Chinese American mayor of San Francisco.

We saw the story about Mayor Lee's sudden death on the national news, likely the NBC evening news with Lester Holt since that is the one I record on Tivo, though we sometimes watch others, in addition.
