Amy Graff is an idiot, she writes the worst weather articles. Also isn't wasn't 110 anywhere near the Bay Area.

I guess the overnight/morning costal-fog helped to keep the bay cool.

This is a picture I took in the early morning, from my home at about 1,300 feet elevation.

It showed (under the fog) was the Peninsula bay (San Mateo bridge, Redwood City, Palo Alto, etc.)

Not today, but I believe yesterday saw one 108f reading far inland. Doesn't really change the point of the article though. It's pretty crazy!

Where? Certainly not where she said the 110 reading was. What was the point of the article? Pointing out a typical summer weather pattern and acting like it’s abnormal like all her stupid weather articles?

Regardless of the accuracy of THIS article, we do have some crazy extremes in the summer! Now that I’m in the South Bay, I really appreciate that fact... because on those days when it’s sweltering down here, I can just drive 30-40 minutes northwest for some relief. One day last summer when it was around 100 here, I said “forget this” and took the dog to Half Moon Bay. Just on that 10ish-mile stretch of 92 between San Mateo and HMB, I watched the temperature gauge drop around 30 degrees.

I’m going “home” to Maryland (where I spent the first 7 years of my life) for a family wedding next week, and dreading the thought of being stuck in swampy weather with no escape. Even the beaches there are miserable this time of year.

Believe it or not, most people actually prefer beaches to be warm during summer unlike here.

My commute to work in Fremont from Newark is 4 miles. When I left the house, it was completely overcast and chilly. When I got to work it was completely sunny and already warming up. From my office right now I can see a thick fog bank over the Santa Cruz mountains but there's not a cloud in the sky where I'm at. The Bay Area summer micro-climates have definitely been in full effect this week.

No, man, natural air conditioning is where it's at. Sunny, with cool breezes off the ocean, with morning & evening fog. THAT is perfection!
