For students stuck in Berkeley over the Thanksgiving break, any inexpensive-ish suggestions for places to go for a turkey etc bite etc ?

Inepensive-ish? IDK, but Whole Foods' hot bar serves turkey, gravy, veggies, etc. Not sure, I think they close early on Thanksgiving, but someone could at least pick up the food, and re-heat it at home.

Didn't you read? Thanksgiving was banned/canceled in Berkeley, as the first Thanksgiving was during the invasion of North America by the evil Pilgrims.

It's really hard to find anywhere open on Thanksgiving, but last year we went to a breakfast place that was open in San Jose for brunch - they had their regular breakfast menu and also a traditional turkey plate, and after a movie we had a late dinner at the Marriott hotel.

Also, you can check Chinese restaurants. So, I'd start by calling the hotels, then breakfast places and Asian restaurants. I think I actually found out about the breakfast brunch by searching on facebook for Thanksgiving meals in the South Bay last year.

That you thought it was plausible, tells everyone alot about the state of CA.

Other than that truth, Ruth, have a great Thanksgiving, if you indeed celebrate it.

I went out with friends with kids a couple years ago to a Hometown Buffet, too, in Fairfield. Might be cheaper than some other options for some people, if there's one around. It was decent, too.
