God I wish these non-natives would quit selling that crap hole PACIFICA! I was born and raised in SAN FRANCISCO and I've been only to Pacifica twice in my natural life. Why have I never returned? Because all there is to see: some water, some fog, and a bunch of ugly houses. SAN FRANCISCO!!!

Geez, settle down... I've been here since age SIX, so I think I'm pretty darned close to a native. Apparently we all have different opinions, and I personally enjoyed living in Pacifica - maybe you don't know how peaceful and charming it is, because you've only been twice?? But obviously I prefer the city too, or I wouldn't be living here now.

P.S. I love the fog - LOL.

It's cool... that's your prerogative to dislike a place! I feel the same about certain towns, and sometimes it's hard to say why - just a feeling, I guess.

I used to live in the Bay Area great place to visit but the cost of living is outrageous. i have friends who has rental properties in Hercules close to Richmond. Probably about 30 minutes drive? Not sure. But if you're interested, let me know. It's a condo.

My Aunt Pat used to live in Pacifica. She seemed to like it better than S.F.

Is the Richmond District different from Richmond California?

The Richmond district is in the northwest area of San Francisco. It's kind of boring with blocks of row houses. It's close to the beach, Golden Gate park and Golden Gate bridge if you want to travel up north of SF. There's plenty of public transit to take you downtown. Being close to the beach, there's alot of fog and wind. The area has a large Asian population. San Francisco's Richmond District. It would probably be a hassle commuting from there across the bay to the town of Richmond.
