Your best bet is to walk, it's nice and the scenery is breath taking that by the time you reach your destination you look behind you and here comes the bus you were waiting for all this time, even worst when your waiting for the bus and some jerk has been there waiting along with you, your late for your appoinment or what ever then this jerk gets on the bus and gets off on the very next stop, that kills time and I see this happen alot.

San Fran used to have the greatest public transit around. When I was there in '06 I noticed a big decline. I had to use 30 a lot. This is a bus that runs frequently, yet I endured some looooong waits at times. Also, I encountered a lot of drivers who either didn't know their asses from a hole in the ground, or just didn't care. I was hoping to read that it's improved in two years, but it doesn't sound like it has.

San Francisco has the capability to provide it's citizens with outstanding puplic transportation, we already have the electric buses, the light rail, the the vintage street cars, all we need now is the bus drivers to show up to work and earn their wages in an honest way.
