Default Lennar Homes in Concord

Hi there,

There is a Lennar Homes development in Concord nestled between Concord Blvd. and Clayton Rd., east of the 242. My husband and I are hoping to take a look at it next month when we visit my parents, but thought I'd ask around to see if any of you could tell me what that particular neighborhood/area is like?

I'm originally from SF, currently living in Orange County, and simply dying to move back to the Bay Area. Husband is a chiropractor and hopes to eventually open his own practice in a "developing" area. While I realize that Concord is already "developed," it's a constant tug-of-war between the two of us - he willing to move as far EAST of the Bay Area as possible (he's never lived up north, and thinks Antioch/Brentwood is still "the Bay Area"), whereas I'm pulling for staying as close to the SF Bay Area as financially possible. As newlyweds, we'd only be able to afford a $500,000 home, which is a stretch for the Bay Area, I know.

Would love any insight you could provide about that particular area of Concord! Thanks so much in advance!

Kindly, J.

I actually looked at those and they are nice! I wanted to buy them, but of course Im only a 21 yr old college student, lol. But the area is nice, its near downtown and practically a walk from bart. If you go and look at them, I believe I liked house #'s 3, 4, and 6! Goodluck!

I actually live in this community and I LOVE IT. The location is superb. Grocery stores, drug store, various restaurants, cheap gas and a trail is within walking distance. Not to mention, you are literally within walking distance to the City via BART.

Hopefully, you'll be a neighbor soon =)

I forgot to mention that there are plenty of office spaces for rent in Clayton Road. I've seen various law offices, dental clinics and yes, chiropractic clinics around the Lennar community. If you do decide to check out Centre Pointe, you may want to check commercial spaces available within the area for your significant others' private practice.

Another thing I love with our community is the farmer's market every Thursday. It's also walking distance away. Todos Santos Park is also a good 15 min walk from Centre Pointe and has a variety of commercial establishments.

The only negative thing with Centre Pointe (and Concord) is the lack-luster school district. It's not too bad but for the burbs, it's not too good either. One thing to think about.
