Recommendation for movers
I will be moving from Santa Clara to San Francisco next month. Does anyone have any recommendations for movers? Also, can anyone give me a ballpark figure on how much it will cost to hire movers? I am moving from a first-floor one-BR apartment to a second floor unit. I have an average amount of furniture: queen size bed, dresser, three bookcases, one couch, one TV stand, one kitchen table with six chairs, one desk and office chair, plus all of the other stuff (books, clothing, kitchen gear, etc.)

Check out this site. Go to the Northern California section. It will give you good tips and a list of companies to stay away from. I recently used Norcal Movers for a move to Florida. They were great, but pricey. Good luck!
