Hey everyone, I have to do an internship this fall and was wondering what the SF bay area music scene was like and if there were a good number of recording studios, as I am majoring in audio engineering. If you want to throw in anything else you would like to tell me, please do so. Any responses are much appreciated. Thanks!

Better check into the live music venues, such as:
Slim's
The Great American Music Hall
The Fillmore
and chat up the soundboard guys there about where else they work as most larger studios have shut down over the years due to the change in home recording studio technology...
also look into:
Laughing Tiger studio in Marin
and Broken Radio in SF right across the street from Guitar Center on Mission st around 9th or 10th or so...
