I've found the city data page on the unincorporated community (inside Contra Costa but not part of any city) of "Walnut Heights" in the East Bay, but cannot figure out where the data came from. Anyone have any idea where to find verifiable info on the community??

There is a small section that is unincorporated. Not sure where you would find the info but did you try to google it? I believe it is on the border of Lafayette is the unincorporated area.

I searched and nothing came up for Walnut Heights on City-Data.com. If you google it, they show the Walnut Heights area of Walnut Creek where Walnut Heights Elementary school is. It's a very nice area overall.

Walnut Heights is not unincorporated. Sorry misread your question. But there is a small section of Walnut Creek that is unincorporated. Like I said I believe that it is the area around the Lafayette border.

Walnut Creek has several unincorporated areas. I grew up in one of them, the Walden area around the Cherry Lane area. Also there is the Castle Hill/Tice Valley areas in the southwestern part of the city. The areas off of Olympic west of 24 is also unincorporated. And from the looks of it Walnut Heights area is also unincorporated.

And having been to many house parties in these areas during my high school years I can say they are unincorporated b/c many of the parties were broken up by the Contra Costa County Sheriffs instead of the WCPD, who are much bigger jerks that the WCPD.

Default Thanks!

The City Data page has the most detailed info I've found, but I have no idea where it came from (no official references). It's actually the bit of land out near Mt. Diablo regional park, near Joaquin Ranch.

I'm hoping to find official info, maps/data,.... unfortunately the census does not separate it out at all.

Any thoughts?
