I am trying to move my mother out to the Bay Area to be closer to our family.

I know there are alot of senior services in the Bay Area, but like many things, they are usually not well known or well advertised.

I wanted to find a resource(s) who can help me discover the public and private services out there for seniors housing, healthcare options, communities, etc. I would also being willing to pay someone who had an expertise in this area.

Can anyone recommend any resources they know of or have used in the past? I live in SF but would consider moving my mom to East Bay, Peninsula, or South Bay.

thanks

I know that there is a "meals on wheels" program in the area as I know someone who used to volunteer for that program.

Check with the state or just talk to your nearest senior center, they should be able to advise you on who you need to speak with.
