Take a chill pill and go do a yoga class. You sound like you could use one.

Namaste.
I only disagree with your ridiculous statements...How exactly do you spot passive Asians anyway? Yeah, all the women I know here are over 6 ft tall-

Are all conservative Jews from SoCal shallow, arrogant, materialistic, judgmental and bit**y like you? Gosh golly, oh gee- just my observation..talk about passive. That must be a SoCal thing??

Unfortunately your observations are often offensive and your posts always seem to reflect sweeping generalizations about anyone that doesn't wear Prada to the playground or doesn't have the same socioeconomic status and you and your husband. (which is probably me and my husband- only I don't subscribe to the snobbery/shallowness you exhibit on nearly every one of your posts).

Yeah the Asian = passive thing all plays in to the model minority myth of the over achieving feminine framed Asian male and Asian female that lusts after the more masculine western male. It's BS to justify yellow fever, it's more to do with social perception than physical attraction. Anybody who say's anybody is all of one way can't be taken serious.

Just because you have observations doesn't mean you really know anything. You should probably analyze your observations more before you share them...clongirl isn't the only one who thinks you often sound like an idiot. This is not meant to be a personal attack, but if you say idiotic things people will respond appropriately.

I also think that most of the Asians that you see dating outside of their race are born/raised here in the US. So I've actually never even met a passive Asian woman (outside of perhaps the mail order bride thing). It's just such an antiquated stereotype.

As for Asian Americans dating white guys--well, it definitely might have something to do with more white men in general asking them out on dates! I have never been asked out by an Asian/Asian American.

I'm married to a white guy and I've dated men of all different races including black, but more white men asked me out..but then again, the population reflects that too. The odds of meeting white guys in a bar are generally greater.

I wasn't saying that Asian women were passive (the ones I've met were mostly not actually) but in my experience alot of asian men are less aggressive when it comes to getting women. That differs culturally from your typical white north american male who is raised differently with different values (more aggressive, egoistic, assertive, belligerent etc) especially anglo type white guys.

In terms of what you said about the likelihood of meeting more white males and getting asked out by them that goes back to what I said earlier and I agree with that.

I met a woman who, when I mentioned how much I love SF and want to move there, told me not to, because it was all filled with gay men.

Does anyone pick a place to move to for dating possibilities anyways? Most people move somewhere because of a job or school, and things to do. I guess I just find it sad someone would rule out San Francisco because she felt she wouldn't be able to get a man there, and there are plenty of other (more valid) reasons to not move there as there are to move there than finding a date.
