I'd rather they kept it closed until they can replace it entirely, so that thousands of people don't perish in the next large earthquake. But that was supposed to be done 5 years ago.

I really hope that this fiasco results in a complete overhaul of Caltrans. They are the most incompetent agency in California, bar none.
