Im living in Boston Mass. and i would love to move to san fran for college, going to berkely university of California. I got a few questions to compare the two cities, because i dont really want to stay in Boston: (Peaple are not nice at all, traffic is crazy, cost way too high) How does San Fran Compare?

The traffic is crazy here and the costs are way too high here also. The "peaple" are OK. The weather is much better however.

I lived in Boston for a few years. I would agree the people in Boston are a bit too high strung or on edge. Please note if you move, in Boston honking your horn is a habit/reflex action, in California it is like flipping someone off. The traffic is about equal to Boston, but they do not have toll roads or roundabouts. People are much more laid back in California, they have a more stop and smell the roses attitude.

BTW, if you move never refer to San Francisco as San Fran or Frisco. It is either San Francisco or the City. It is a pet peeve for the area.

I'm pretty sure you aren't.

Berkeley isn't in San Francisco, but rather across the bridge next to Oakland.

UC Berk is a great school with a beautiful campus. I used to go to some of the CAL games when I attended USF. Most college students are friendly, but you will find a lot of homeless in Berk and San Francisco, who are rude as well as quite a few eccentric locals. The traffic is also horrible in the Bay Area and San Francisco is the second most expensive major city in the United States.

However, I loved living in San Francisco. The traffic is bad, it's expensive, and people walking the street aren't exactly friendly, but the pros outweigh the cons.

To get the most out your college experience I would live close to the campus in Berkeley. You think there are hipster/hippie types in Harvard Square, just wait until you visit Berkeley!
